Wesley is from small-town Indiana, and he completed his undergraduate studies at Butler University where he studied poetry with Alessandra Lynch and Chris Forhan. Also during this time, he studied Trumpet Performance and developed a love of small-scale farming while working on Butler’s one-acre CUE Farm.
While pursuing his MFA at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Wesley studied with poets Emilia Phillips and Stuart Dischell. He is currently at work on his first manuscript, tentatively titled Busy with Joy.
Wesley’s poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in journals, such as the Indianapolis Review, the Greensboro Review, Tar River Poetry, and Poetry Northwest. Also, his reviews have appeared in journals such as Story South, the Adroit Journal and The Rumpus.
